HabitHeat v2.7.0 — May 12, 2026
This update expands analytics across habit types, adds a new time-of-day view, and improves chart clarity and responsiveness.

- Fixed analytics color mismatch
Analytics cards and charts now correctly use each habit’s selected color (including default green) instead of showing an outdated purple fallback.
HabitHeat v2.6.3 — May 03, 2026
This patch fixes several signup and login edge cases, improves mobile layouts, refines keyboard behavior, and adds a small in-app feedback card to help shape future improvements.
What’s new
- Feedback card in the sidebar
You can now share quick feedback directly from inside the app.
This helps guide future improvements and may optionally be used as anonymous feedback on the website with permission.

Login and signup pages now behave better on mobile, including the theme switcher and “Back to homepage” link. - Improved FAQ and account page layouts
FAQ and account pages have been refined for a better mobile experience. - Better keyboard behavior for tracking
“Mark as undone” no longer submits via Enter.
Keyboard submission now favors the primary save action.
Fixes
- Fixed Google signup user document creation
Resolved an issue where first-time Google signups could end up without a user document and see a “No user data found” state. - Fixed update modal for new Google users
Newly registered Google users should no longer incorrectly receive the update modal on first login.
HabitHeat v2.6.2 — May 02, 2026
This update improves the authentication flow, refines form usability, and enhances the first-time experience with a more guided and helpful onboarding.

Added logo and clearer context to authentication pages, with messaging aligned to the main site. - Back to homepage link
You can now easily navigate back to the main site directly from login and signup pages. - Google sign-in improvements
Added Google branding to the sign-in button and fixed an issue where existing Google accounts could not log in correctly.

HabitHeat v2.6.1 — May 01, 2026
This patch introduces small usability improvements, a global activity signal, and fixes minor issues in tracking and tooltips.

A live counter now shows total habit entries logged across all users. - Keyboard support for faster tracking
You can now submit actions like “Mark Done”, “Save entry” or “Track Today” using the keyboard.

HabitHeat v2.6.0 — March 28, 2026
This update introduces habit search, archiving, better mobile layouts, more polished dialogs, and several quality-of-life improvements across tracking and customization.
What’s new
- Habit search
- You can now search habits by title directly from the Habits page
- Search updates instantly and helps keep larger habit lists manageable
- Habit archive system
- Habits can now be archived and restored later
- Archived habits are separated from active habits with a dedicated Active / Archived toggle
- Archived habits are read-only, making it easier to keep old habits without cluttering your active list
- Habit creation soft limit
- A global soft limit of 50 habits is now enforced to help prevent spam and abuse
- If a user legitimately needs more, the limit can be increased individually
- SEO metadata added
- Meta titles are now set across the app and auth pages where appropriate
- This improves clarity in browser tabs and provides a better SEO baseline
- Theme and calendar preferences
- The app now supports System mode alongside Light and Dark mode
- The last selected calendar view is now remembered between visits

- Dialog usability improved
- The Create Habit dialog is now scrollable with a fixed header and footer
- The Log Day dialog is now scrollable with a fixed header and footer
- The Edit Details dialog is now scrollable with a fixed header and footer
- Better mobile layout on the Habits page
- On mobile, the Create Habit button and Active / Archived toggle are now grouped into a more compact top row
- The search input now sits below them for a cleaner layout
- Color customization improved
- A color picker was added to the Change Color flow
- The amber/orange preset tone was adjusted for a better visual balance
- Options habit workflow improved
- Options can now be cleared again for a day instead of being locked once selected
- Mobile settings for Options habits now correctly show “Edit details & color” instead of “Change color”
Fixes
- Number heatmap color intensity was refined again to make stronger value differences more visible
- Month and Week views now show white numbers when a cell has a filled color for better readability
- Several dialog and layout edge cases on smaller screens were resolved
HabitHeat v2.5.1 — March 05, 2026
This patch fixes Number Heatmap color scaling so intensity is now consistent and correctly comparable across all views.

- Number Heatmap color scaling corrected
- Week, Month, and Year now use the same yearly min/max scale for Number values
- Highest tracked day value appears as the brightest cell, lowest tracked day value as the darkest
- Resolved styling override where Number cells could appear with identical color despite different values

HabitHeat v2.5 — February 09, 2026
This update introduces a brand-new Time-based Heatmap, improves visual feedback for running sessions,
adds better text length handling across the app, and expands theme switching to authentication pages.

- Added a new Timer-based Heatmap for tracking time spent on habits
- Start / Stop button for managing active timer sessions
- Timer sessions are listed in a dedicated tab (similar to Number habits), with delete support

This update improves account management and feedback access, and introduces a brand-new
way to track qualitative habits using option-based heatmaps.

- A new Feedback entry has been added to the main menu for quicker access
- Option-based Heatmaps
- Introduced a new habit type called Options, designed for qualitative tracking
- Perfect for habits like mood, energy level, focus quality, or daily state
- Each habit can have up to 5 selectable options, each with its own color
- Selections are visualized directly in the heatmap using the option’s color
- Basic yearly statistics show how often each option was selected
- Option Analytics (early stage)

This update focuses on navigation improvements, new calendar-style views, better mobile input behavior,

Project update & major changes
After a longer break, work on HabitHeat resumed with the goal of cleaning up the codebase and improving overall usability.
Key changes during this phase:
